Reiki Healing Against Depression

Is Reiki energy good against depression and anxiety?

Searching the web for different contributions to this subject in blogs, forums, etc, is not easy but I found that there are basically two main stream opposite opinions about this subject.

1) Reiki is placebo, the concept of life force and energy channeling is fake.

2) Reiki is helping the patient to feel good and to diminish stress, pain and anxiety.

Now you would not be surprised to read that I also think that Reiki is helping to feel good and further more that Reiki can help against depression and anxiety. Why is that?

In reality, nobody knows the answer as there are no concluding scientific researches on the subject with statistically enough certainty in one or the other way.

The same issue applies to religions, prayers and to loads of other esoteric beliefs.

The fact that scientific research is not able to prove a theory does not mean that the theory is to be fully rejected.

Beliefs are very personal and difficult to be proven for a mass population to be true or the sole truth. This is valid for any individual beliefs. An individual belief should therefore be respected if it works out fine for that particular person, not necessarily for the masses.

My own experiences are forcing me to claim that Reiki works whether you believe in it or not. That does not take out any claim that a certain placebo effect may exist and influence some, but amazingly enough, Reiki does also work on non-believers who are not aware of receiving Reiki at all!

When I mean that Reiki works, I mean that energy is transferred to the system of a non-believer or believer, with or without his knowledge. The fact to send Reiki without a patient knowledge is often not acceptable in the eyes of most reiki practitioners. It is in my view a necessity to see whether Reiki energy is more than placebo effect.

Some patients I have given Reiki to without their knowledge have reported a short increase of symptoms before experiencing a relief and a change. Other patients experienced an immediate relief but not where I had expected it, some others did not experience a symptom relief but felt well, relaxed and more positive.

This is why I do believe that Reiki is a great energy against anxiety or depression, stress, negativity towards life, etc.

My advise would therefore be to try Reiki out or even better, to get attuned to Reiki in order to practice self-healing whenever needed.

Stay open minded, change your perspective towards Reiki or similar healing techniques. They could be the perfect match to relief ones symptoms as an addition to the usual main stream medicine.

Blessings to all.
